A Newry shop owner’s external signage was ripped from its fixings during Storm Chandra in January 2026. The client leased the premises but had installed the signage. PCLA confirmed the policy cover and insurable interest, obtained a specialist quotation and answered the loss adjuster’s wear and tear query. The claim was accepted and the quotation agreed.

A leak from a first floor hot water cylinder damaged seven rooms across both floors of a three bedroom detached house in Patterton. The insurer’s loss adjuster proposed £17,000. After PCLA escalated the claim and presented the evidence to the insurer’s surveyor, it settled at £32,000.

A commercial property owner appointed PCLA after a serious fire damaged a vacant building in Scotland that was already being marketed for sale. The claim involved market value, residual value, total loss and a negotiated cash settlement.
